Originally from Midlands, UK, Ratvinder graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science
degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering in 1994 from the University of Birmingham.
A year later he completed his Master's degree in Software Engineering from the University
of Aston in Birmingham. In 2001 he graduated with a Doctorate degree in "A Visual Metaphor-Based Tool for a Search-engine
User Interface" from the University of Wolverhampton. |
Ratvinder moved to Canada in 2003 and started at Laurentian University in 2004. Previous
employment include lecturing in Computer Science at the University of Wolverhampton, and
working as a Database Manager for a British Government funded Trust. |
Ratvinder enjoys off-road mountain biking and running. He has competed in local and national 5k, 10k, and half-marathon races.
He has also completed a 233km bike ride seven times, and made two parachute descents from a height of 2000 feet. |
